AN ATTEMPT TO DEFINE THE TECHNOLOGICAL ASSUMPTION OF REMEDIATION OF
SOILS POLLUTED WITH THALLIUM USING SINAPIS ALBA L. SPECIES

Selection of cost-effective and economically beneficial methods consistent with environ-
mental guidelines for “green technologies” are challenge nowadays. Phytoextraction of
thallium from soils in Olkusz lead-zinc ore mining region using Sinapis alba L. species,
without a doubt, it is this kind of technology. The aim of this project is need for reme-
diation of contaminated soils in the region where the scale of the problem is significant
and use of extracted thallium as the prices of this metal are constantly rising. To analyze
the cost-effectiveness of this technology model cultivation of thallium hyperacummula-
tor plant have been used as well as selected mathematical models based on literature.
According to this, solution that can increase the profitability of the process have been
proposed.
