ązki endokrynne w środowisku. PRAKTYKA
Problemy i wyzwania
CZ. II − WYKRYWANIE I OZNACZANIE ZWIĄZKÓW ENDOKRYNNYCH
I/LUB ENDOKRYNNOŚCI PRÓBEK
The discovery of the existence of micropollutants, such as EDC compounds, in the envi-
ronment made the development of new analytical methods necessary. One of them are
immunoassay techniques, which are becoming increasingly significant. Even though this
is not a new approach, because those techniques are successfully used in clinical analysis
for many years, they have advantages which make them very useful for environmental
studies.
Special attention was paid to review the analytical methods used for the detection and
determination of EDC’s in the environmental samples. This article contains information
concerning some of the immunoassays. Both cellular and non-cellular assays are charac-
terized. Additionally the scheme of estrogen determination using LC-MS technique is
provided. Also the information about changes in bioindicators, that occur as a result of
the presence of EDC in their living environment, has been compiled.
Keywords:
endocrine disrupting compounds, immunoanalysis, estrogenic activity.
