PART IV. THE USE OF LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY TECHNIQUE TO THE ANALYSIS
OF PHARMACEUTICALS IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL SAMPLE
In the analysis of pharmaceutical residues in environmental samples techniques based on chromatographic
separation play the main role. The possibility of work with different types of detectors make these techniques
useful for the determination of substances occurring at a very low concentration levels, which is crucial in the
trace analysis of the selected environmental pollutants. In the previous paper the methods for the determination
of pharmaceuticals in various environmental samples based on the usage of gas chromatography were described.
In this paper the attention is paid to the application of liquid chromatography with various detection systems in
terms of the advantages and disadvantages of their applicability.
